American SpeedFest will liven things up for its 10th anniversary edition with the addition of the new SpeedFest Country music festival, which will run across both days of the event at Brands Hatch on 17/18 June. SpeedFest Country will bring a distinct, Americana-infused sound to the venue's off-track areas throughout the weekend as a special accompaniment to the NASCAR-headlined race action and mammoth US car displays at the famous circuit.
SpeedFest Country will shine a light on some of the finest country music acts active in the UK today, with live music throughout the afternoon on both Saturday and Sunday. And this will extend well into the evening on the first day of the event, with weekend visitors and campers encouraged to stay late and enjoy the show, which is free for all ticketholders.
In addition to confirming this new addition to the SpeedFest 10 show, we're also able to announce the first artists who will perform on the Saturday:
Kezia Gill - Saturday night headliner Saturday night's bill topper is singer-songwriter Kezia Gill, who is well established within the UK country scene having performed for over 15 years. Her sound is completely unique, blending influences from a wide range of genres. Her performances have previously taken her around the world, including to Europe, Australia, and the United States.
Laura Oakes Singer-songwriter Laura Oakes hails from Liverpool, but her musical inspirations are very much country-orientated, with favourites including Dolly Parton, David Gates and the Dixie Chicks. Laura has featured in the UK country charts and has released multiple EPs.
Gasoline & Matches Two-time British CMA 'Duo of the Year' and Birmingham Music Awards 'Best Folk/Country Act' Gasoline & Matches are a high energy, guitar driven duo, hailing from Birmingham. Their debut single 'Fool's Gold' reached No.1 in the UK iTunes Country Chart.
Two Ways Home Two Ways Home is a duo comprising songwriters Isabella MaK and Lewis Fowler. Their music style is described as folk-rock with a country twist. With three EPs, an album and singles to their name, this is another established act from the UK country scene.
Rev Ferriday Rev Ferriday is an award winning singer-songwriter whose career dates back to the '80s. Ferriday now performs his own original music with a hillcountry blues and Americana sound.
The complete full line-up for SpeedFest Country will be shared very soon, including confirmation of all acts for the Sunday. Access to the live music area of the venue will be available at no extra cost to ticket holders on both days of the event.
This is the latest expansion of the popular SpeedFest extravaganza, which will feature bill-topping race action from the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series (NWES), the only officially sanctioned stock car series of its kind on this side of the Atlantic. Four NWES races will be complemented by a themed line-up of support races and special demonstrations and parades throughout the two days.
Other highlights off the track will include SpeedFest's biggest ever American car displays, live action stunt shows in the SpeedFest Arena and the returning Victory Lane NASCAR podium presentations which bring the post-race celebrations closer to the fans.
Weekend tickets are available in advance for £45 (with weekend camping an additional £29). Adult admission £25 on Saturday and £30 on Sunday. Reductions are available for 13-15-year-olds and under-13s go free. All tickets include admission to the full American SpeedFest 10 race event in addition to the SpeedFest Country music stage.
