America Uk story about Texas Icon Lands in the UK as Lone Star Beer Arrives at RodeosBBQ

One of Texas’ most iconic beers has officially landed in the UK - and fittingly, it’s now on the menu at RodeosBBQ.

The venue has announced that Lone Star Beer, often referred to as the “National Beer of Texas”, is now available behind the bar, bringing another authentic slice of Southern US culture to the UK’s growing country music scene.

Originally brewed in Texas in 1884, Lone Star Beer has long been tied to the state’s country culture, dance halls and dive bars. Over the years it’s become a cult favourite not just across the southern United States, but among country music fans worldwide.

For RodeosBBQ, adding Lone Star to the lineup felt like a natural fit.

RodeosBBQ first opened its doors in Wolverhampton a handful of years ago, before expanding to Birmingham on Independence Day in 2025. Since then, the venues have built a reputation for bringing a Nashville-inspired honky tonk experience to the UK, with live country music, line dancing, American BBQ and western interiors helping create something rarely seen outside the US.

Now, customers can pair authentically smoked American BBQ and live music with one of Texas’ most recognisable beers.

The arrival of Lone Star also reflects the continued rise of country culture across the UK. What was once considered a niche scene now regularly fills arenas and festivals across the country, with venues like RodeosBBQ helping introduce more people to the culture behind the music.

For fans chasing the feel of a genuine American honky tonk, it’s another detail that brings the experience even closer to the real thing.
