‘Your Heart Is My Home’ is the latest single from Irish Pop Country Duo, 'KIRWAN.'
Following the release of their first single ‘Cool’ comes the 2nd single from their soon to be released self-titled debut album ‘KIRWAN’, ‘Your Heart Is My Home’ is a deeply intimate song written and performed by Caitriona telling the story of first falling in love on a trip to Nashville as Colm was on stage performing and being somewhat caught off guard by love especially so far from home.
“Didn’t know I was looking for love until you said hi,
Somewhere south of the city under the Tennessee sky,
3000 miles from the town that I call home,
Didn’t know I was looking for love until you said hi’
As their story and the lyric develops we hear the pain and struggle of being torn between commitments, family and home in Ireland and this new adventure of love, destiny and dreams in the USA, ultimately concluding that wherever Colm is then that too is where her heart is, Home!
“Writing this song gave me so much clarity and actually helped me process my emotions, in the very early stages of our long distance relationship it made me realize that wherever Colm is that’s where my home is, his heart is my home.”
